QR codes that change their mind

Point a code at one thing today and somewhere else tomorrow, without reprinting a single poster. QRBase builds the code, hosts the page it opens, and tells you how it performed - from servers inside the EU, with no ad networks in the middle.

What it does

Generate, publish, measure

Dynamic & static codes

A dynamic code redirects through QRBase, so its destination is yours to change at any time. A static one carries its payload in the pattern itself - URL, email, phone, SMS, WiFi or vCard - and works with nothing behind it.

Landing pages

Every code can open a mobile-first page you build in a visual editor, rather than someone else's link-in-bio. Useful when the thing you're linking to doesn't have a page of its own yet.

Scan analytics

See scan counts over time and rough geography, so you can tell the poster that worked from the one that didn't. Aggregate numbers - the point is which campaign landed, not who scanned it.

Custom styling

Colors, gradients, module shapes, borders and a logo in the middle. Codes come out looking like they belong to your brand instead of looking like a default.

Asset library

Logos and images live in one place and get reused across every code and page you make, so a rebrand is one upload rather than forty re-exports.

Projects

Group codes by campaign, client or side project. Limits and analytics follow the project, which keeps one client's numbers out of another's report.

Why it's different

Analytics without surveillance

Most QR services are advertising companies wearing a utility's clothes: the code is free because the scan data is the product. QRBase is a paid tool with a free tier, which means we get to answer to you rather than to an ad exchange.

Scans are counted and located roughly, for you. They aren't sold, shared with brokers, or joined up into a profile of the person holding the phone. Everything runs on EU infrastructure under GDPR, and the privacy policy says the same thing in the formal register.

You keep the ability to leave, too. Export your data, delete your account from the support page, and static codes you've already printed keep working regardless - there's nothing of ours in the middle of them.

Questions

The ones worth answering

What happens to my codes if I stop paying?

Static codes are unaffected - the data is in the pattern, not on our servers, so they outlive any account. Dynamic ones need the redirect to stay up, so downgrade rather than delete if a printed campaign is still in the wild.

Can I use my own domain?

Custom domains are on the roadmap for dynamic codes and landing pages, so the short link matches your brand rather than ours. Write to us if it's blocking you - that's how most of the roadmap gets prioritised.

Do scans get tracked back to a person?

No. We record that a scan happened, roughly where, and when. There's no advertising identifier, no cross-site profile and no third-party pixel riding along on the redirect.

Is there an API?

Yes - QRBase exposes an HTTP API for creating and managing codes, so you can generate them from your own system instead of clicking through the UI. Details are in the app once you're signed in.
